Midtown
Midtown is a vibrant and bustling neighborhood of Atlanta situated just north of Atlanta´s downtown district and south of the Ansley Park and Buckhead neighborhoods. Midtown is a mix of commercial and residential areas. Atlanta´s famous Peachtree Street runs through Midtown and is lined with high rise office and condo buildings and a mix of both casual and upscale dining. Midtown´s lively residential area is composed of beautiful Craftsman bungalows and Victorian homes.
The center of Midtown is Piedmont Park. The park is Atlanta´s 189 acre greenspace and home to many festivals including the Atlanta Dogwood Festival and Atlanta Pride. During the summer Piedmont Park hosts Screen on the Green, a free five-week series of classic movies.
Midtown is also known as the center of the arts in Atlanta and is home to the Fox Theatre, Woodruff Arts Center, the Botanical Gardens, and the Atlanta Ballet.
